Core and cluster

Core and cluster is the most independent model of support we offer. It's designed for people who are almost ready to live fully independently but still benefit from structured support when needed.

You’ll live in your own self-contained flat or house, with your own front door, kitchen, and living space. Your home will be part of a small grouping of similar properties, with a central staff hub based nearby. This means that staff are not on-site 24/7 but are always available through a structured response system if you need them.

This model offers a high level of autonomy, allowing you to live your life on your terms while still having reassurance that support is close at hand. It’s ideal for people with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs who are managing well day-to-day but benefit from the safety net of professional care when required.

Because of the level of independence involved, we only place people in Core and Cluster if their needs, risks, and support requirements are appropriate. You’ll need to be in a position where you can manage most aspects of daily life safely and with limited prompting.

That said, we will continue to support you in developing life skills, accessing your community, managing appointments, and staying safe.Core and Cluster is a model grounded in trust. We’ll work with you to gradually reduce support over time, if that’s your goal, and help you transition towards full independence at a pace that feels right for you.
